the tremolo part sounds like black metal tho, i really like when Azagthoth do those, also when happens in BM albums, it brings the kind of atmosphere i love

Replace Obituary with Pestilence and I'm onboard.

I can see that too. Some said Suffocation instead of Entombed.

Suffocation is a great call too. Immolation and Incantation as well.

So obituary gets the anthrax role of band that’s totally over its head?

The thing about DM is a lot of these classic bands only really put out 1-3 really good albums. Candidates though if we only look at good albums and late 80s/early 90s timeframe would have to include Suffocation, Deicide, Incantation, Autopsy, Bolt Thrower, Immolation. Could even look at Cryptopsy for None So Vile/Blasphemy.
Immo and Incantation did most of their notable work outside of that time period though so can probably scratch those.

Immolation only have one dud in their discography and even that's more than palatable. Incantation are very consistent too.

Dawn of Possession and Onward to Golgotha definitely fit the bit but Here in After wasn’t until like 96 and Mortal throne would just be on the borderline in 94

Yeah, that's fair play.

To contradict my earlier post, None so Vile is too late I guess as well
