album is fine album versions will be worse of all these songs im sure. they at least sound like themselves again some of the time, even tho that side is fighting with some of the bad elements on erase me as they just dont know how to write good vocal melodies anymore



pneumonia prob the best, hallelujah prob the worst but no oasis is not amazing either, i was kinda surprised by im pretty sure im out of luck and have no friends that song kinda went in the further it progressed. hard paper lung/no frame vibes in a cool way

The live version of Pneumonia was honestly my favorite. That one and Cycle kicked absolute ass.

yea its obv not better than any of the pre hiatus spencer stuff. i think they maaaybe still have a banger full length in them if they stop forcing in the most generic choruses in the world (or at least just learned how to write them better! i wouldnt mind them as much if they were just more compellingly written!) and got a competent producer but i dont really have faith in them ever doing that

New album is very solid. No outright bad songs to be found. Songwriting is about a million times better than Erase Me. Not on the level of this, Define, or LITSOS, but they at least sound like themselves again.

Honestly yeah, not a song I can say I outright hated. Certain parts are pretty bad (the forced cursing and that weird vocal effect on Numb) and I agree with onion they just can't write good choruses anymore. The only memorable chorus after my first listen was Numb which also has my least favorite part of the alb lol
