as much as I like the remaster, the rawer production of the original just kinda works in it's favor. I would even go as far and say I like this more Jane Doe as my favorite Converge record [3]
Redux was useless. This is perfect.

My number 3 behind Axe to Fall and Jane Doe but it's growing more and more. But as much as I love Concubine and Fault and Fracture, and the 3pits punchers of AtF, First Light and Last Light might be their best opener

The Saddest Day was always my #1, then I checked Jane again the other day and I think Conc/Fault (if allowed to 'use both') has surpassed it. It's tough because Converge openers are almost universally awesome.

The Saddest Day is cult but I admit that I didn't listen it enough (just a couple of times in my Converge discography run). But I completely agree with Demon of the Fall all their opener are incredible (I also always associated Conc/Fault because of the clip and the transition between the two songs).
Dark Horse for the riff and the lyrics, as a worker and a student in philosophy.

i still slightly prefer this to the redux, it's really good for the most part but a couple of songs were kinda hurt by that mix

i used to think this was the best converge but now idk. I think i love this one so much just because it's the album that got me into them.
I was initially put off by Jane Doe because I thought it was a little bit too harsh/abrasive for my tastes at the time an ended up moving on to this a few months later and was sold immediately when i heard last light.
