OKC is stratospheric baby

"Be me and view OKC as the awkward inbetween phase from the rock sound of The Bends to the experimental bliss that they perfected on Kid A."
Probably the worst take on here so far

my radiohead ranking is a careful considered reflection of personal mysticism
your radiohead ranking is approval seeking

I’m here merely to randomly interject that PABLO HONEY actually as a few good tracks on it, and none of them are called “Creep.”
|

That's the best one

Bro come on. It’s not terrible but it’s far from the best song on PABLO HONEY.
I legitimately thing “Stop Whispering” and “I Can’t” are great songs for what they are. Close behind is “Prove Yourself.” Beyond that, there are a few *decent* cuts (“You”, “Blow Out”) and then mostly just a sea of mediocrity in which “Creep” most definitely bobs.

I don't like those first three at all. I can't is boring and Prove Yourself is the worst radiohead song.

yea kinda. okc is close to ruling all the way through but forever miss me w boring weak ass karma police (have never liked this song) and no surprises, as well the grating electioneering and fine but in one ear out the other tourist. album has real potential if you make all those songs fuck off and add songs w better writing like lift and polyethylene. the other 2/3rds of okc are great tho, which is a big step up from bends

@Ghandhi: blasphemous! At least we have better alignment on Tim Buckley haha.

I Can't is the best song on there for sure, but still only like a 3.5/5

I've learned to like it over the years tbh, especially after seeing Patrice O Neal's take on it:

Lol nooo, it's so the opposite of good

Amnesiac on the other hand has no bad songs
-Sure, Morning Bell/Amnesiac isn't as good as the Kid A version but it's still very good
-Hunting Bears is a nice atmospheric piece
-and Pulk/Pull, while it's the worst song on the album, is still a neat experiment that doesn't overstay its visit
The rest fucking rule

those are the 3 i could do without. long ago dropped those 3 for cuttooth, worrywort and fog (and then promptly move those tracks between dollars and cents and like spinning plates)

Just as I opened this thread, the shuffler started playing Dollars and Cents. This is obv proof of higher powers and/or my PC gaining sentience.
It's a pretty boring song alright.

The Amazing Sounds of Orgy is the best Amnesiac b-side so I'd swap that out for Worrywort
But Fog nd Cuttooth are good picks
Also nah Dollars and Cents is amazing
