If I listened to every album in one day I would have a worse time ranking deftones.

It's cool Jerry Cantrell is in new album. Chino said in May it would probably be out late September. That was two months ago damn I need to actually look it up and find out

Okay yeah they finished the mixing this week. That's crazy that they just barely missed being in the venue of the terrorism. Lucky for them and their families. They're stuck in France until borders open

I can't believe it either. Also absolutely floored by the sick irony of Aaron Harris of Isis' presence in the Bataclan crowd. It's just been a ridiculous day.

One of my favorite guitarists being featured on an album by one of my favorite bands. It's gonna be epic.

Apparently "for the first time on a deftones album, every song sounds different". Chino said on video so its a valid thing to post deapite hearing nothing else. I hope it's true if they really believe their other albums all sound the same this is gonna be a trip

Was going to see them this Saturday at Wembley Arena but it looks to have been postponed/cancelled because of the attacks in Paris. They were due to play the Bataclan on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Apparently three members of the band and crew were attending the Eagles of Death Metal show at the Bataclan the night of the attack and left 15 minutes before it happened.

Understandably, they've gone home to their loved ones.

Yea Rosemary is pretty epic indeed. Just wish it ended on a more eventful note.

I thought it was pretty fucking solid, but I don't jam it anymore really.

idk there's just such a huge divide between it's good and bad material

Tempest, Rosemary and Leathers are my jams

Swerve City, Gauze, Entombed are also solid

and then Graphic Nature, Goon Squad and Romantic Dreams are just utter trash

it's so frustrating

Swerve City is so simple but it's so effective. Has an awesome shoegazing vibe.

Same Entombed is way too touching and beautiful I overlook its repetitive nature. I love it's ending too with the epic drums.
