I can see that
I guess as someone whose normal taste-values aren’t much appealed to by this band I’m primed (falsely, prob) to think that the things I like are “anomalous” or w/e, and that really they’re a nü-metal band disguised as a shoegaze one or whatever instead of vice versa. Not making sense here but I guess I’m just trying to hedge for the fact that I think this album is like a 3.5 with a 5/5 song in “digital bath”, whereas a lot of “real fans” seem to think this is the best one

I love KNY, but Diamond Eyes wouldn't even make it in my top 5 these days. Still a really solid album, but the last 4 tracks really kill any momentum the record started with. Granted, I really like Sextape, but they shouldn't have crammed in 4 ballads in a row at the end
