Subterranean is great but I'd still put the full lengths from their golden era over it. If it was a full length then maybe. But it basically just feels like 3 or 4 songs that I think are really awesome whereas the full lengths are like 7-9 songs that kick ass

Never forget that Casavir called this a one note album while 5ing two Metallica albums btw

Oh man, I forgot about that guy. He was passionate about commenting on in flames threads

I don't get that, it's actually pretty diverse in its songwriting for a melodeath album.

It's ok to be one-note if it slams HARD

That dude just wanted attention

It's one of the dumbest takes I've ever heard. He either hasn't listened to this album fully or is just ragebaiting. And again, saying that as a complaint while having two Metallica albums 5'd is peak irony.

"This is really one note"
- some dude who has probably not played a single note.

Put simply, yes - this is most definitely not one-note.

@Davey
I guess I see why people dont see lunar strain as a standout release. Of all their early work it's probably the least melodic but I love the more straight-up death metal feel to it. That's probably why my favorite dark tranquility is Skydancer
