Define The Great Line through Disambiguation are all at least 3.5's imo, but Lost in the Sound of Separation is my personal favorite because it's their most consistent and heaviest with their usual drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillesspie. though a lot of people like They're Only Chasing Safety, but it's essentially a dated mall screamo/post hxc record that i think people only dig for nostalgia

Define The Great Line through Disambiguation is their best stretch of music. By far. I have all three of those records 5'd if that says anything lmao. I'd say start with DTGL and if you like that then do LITSOS and Disam.
If you don't like the clean vocals on DTGL then go straight to Disam because Aaron (the drummer and singer) isn't on that record and it's noticeably different than the other two.

Yes
TOCS is also worth checking but alot of people seem to think it aged poorly. I disagree personally, its a post hardcore gem that got me into the genre.

That record has aged horribly for me lol. I am holding my rating on it purely because of nostalgia. I almost never return to it other than maybe a couple songs.

dtgl is perfect and litsos/disamb aren't far behind, i do agree that safety hasn't aged amazingly buuut the live recording they recently released mostly fixes that lol

I've tried on multiple occasions and just can't get into any of the Dallas albums. I dunno. They just don't do anything for me outside of maybe a couple songs.

coming around a bit on changing of times but even w that dallas is the clear weak point of the record for me. his voice owns on the one maylene album ive heard but in underoath i rlly struggle with it. part of why tocs hasnt held up for me too bc spencers like trying to emulate how dallas sounds
dtgl through disam is a perfect run for me and probably the only band i can think of who put out 3 consecutive lps i have 5d

Dallas was a great fit save for their debut so idk what to tell you but even if you can't stand him
Cries goes hard af instrumentally
also: literally the only thing that hasn't aged well about tocs are a good chunk of lyrics
funny how some people blame its appeal on nostalgia as if dtgl isn't only 2 years younger lmao, shit at this point their last good record is more than a decade old

Only Dallas song I really like is When the Sun Sleeps

I still haven't even checked out of any of the Dallas stuff except for The Changing of Times. It was alright, better than this, but still doesn't hold a candle to that four-album run from 2004-10
