Naked City isn't extremely boring.

well yes he's a fucking genius but.....well he JUXTAPOSES a very obnoxious (yet totally awesome) form of free jazz with even more obnoxious noise/grind breaks (still awesome) is used in a completely dis-jointed way, similar to the way that BTBAM or CTTS form their compositions, free-flowing experiments that change tone at any moment. Also, the transitions that Naked City used (Naked City is not really a John Zorn album, Naked City is his most successful project) are not subtle at all, their completely random but totally unexpected and energetic
|
| |
I say a 2.5 as well because he'll probably think of the record like Lakes.

technically not though, Naked City is not really as John Zorn album, its a Naked City album, but whatever its sick no matter who the real artist is
|
| |
naked city is technically a john zorn album end of story regardless of who played on it

"edit: on kill da switch now"
the first three minutes of that song are fine but after that it's like CTTS hit the same nail on the same head with the same hammer on the same plank from the same tree of reason FOUND LOGIC CONCEIVED IN A WALK WITH SIN I SLEEP IN REASON PRODUCING THESE MONSTERS.

Yeah but everything he did made sense. To me it feels more like an expansion of jazz and grind than a bunch of really poor takes on "prog," emo, and whatever all else
|
| |
well i mean it's technically under his solo catalog but it just happens to feature the Naked City band
|
| |
is john zorn a member of circle takes the square
wut
