Incredible drummer, his swing and groovy jazz style was incredible. Sometimes I think Iommi's riffage sounds so good because of that guy.
Wish he was appreciated as much as the other guys from Sabbath. His teammates certainly didn't appreciate him as much as he deserved.

Ah! Sorry. Just been researching and there's absolutely no mention of Ward doing that at any time. I guess it's just what people grasped at for explanation when they first heard Sabbath.
