Little Creatures is good, it gets a ton of unwarranted hate

Television Man and Road to Nowhere are both amazing specifically

Really, OK Computer and Kid A IMO should be the only albums by Radiohead that should be used for serious comparison conversations. All else of Radiohead’s discography is simply there for those of us who enjoy the band.

Ars it isn’t so much that I don’t want to get into them as it is that I feel like I don’t even really need to because I’m already broadly familiar with them and their influence is so deeply ingrained.

Radiohead for example are the same way (or would be, and even to a lesser degree than Talking Heads since RH weren’t as big in the mainstream even at their peak) but the difference with them for me is that, since I got into them so early in the development of my taste that everything they were doing was new to me (even if it wasn’t all really new in the context of music), I was in the proper phase to obsess over them and connect to their music on a deeply personal level. The point is that, having heard the amount of music that I have (not that it’s a lot in the grand scheme of what some people know) , Talking Heads are a band that I should have properly listened to so long ago that it almost doesn’t feel worth doing it now.

I get that that sounds silly (and probably is) and probably doesn’t make sense though.

"I've listened to a lot of music so there's basically no point in listening to this band that has been influential for many bands I like".

Guaranteed that when I do listen to this I’ll give it a 2 on first listen, cause an uproar, then bump it to a 4.5 two days later.

that being said, while i do hate most post-punk because it is limpdicked shit that upper class kids made to dismantle the punk movement, i do have a soft spot for early pil (metal box, flowers of romance) and there's some okay russian post-punk out there but i can't type russian and i can't be bothered googling cuz i don't keep that shit in my library

Punk wasn’t even good, why did it need a post genre
