It’s a big one but I really recommend listening to it. Some cool insights from Matt, and it’s so nice to see how enthusiastic he still is about all of this 25 years deep.
Also I feel so fucking vindicated on calling Crimson Day one of their worst songs (I’m working on a full ranking of every track and I think it’s literally in the bottom ten) because Matt says that track is complete throwaway and one of their worst ballads… completely agree

I just hate it. I think that they’re very hit or miss with ballads. I Won’t See You Tonight is obviously killer, I like pretty much all of the ones on Nightmare, but then you got tracks like Warmness on the Soul and Crimson Day.
I’ll say this tho, The Stage and LIBAD have killer “ballads”. Idk if I’d even call any song on LIBAD a ballad, but Roman Sky is genuinely fucking gorgeous, Angels is amazing, and obviously Cosmic.
