Naaahhh, I Really Like You is awesome. I just so happened to start listening to this on my way to work this morning. Just 3 tracks in and it's still incredible.

Call me maybe is one of the worst songs ever made (I know this isn't the album but I just had to say it because that song annoyed the living hell out of me back in the day)

I Really Life You and Call Me Maybe both rule she always delivers the hard mainstream bop on track 3

Both are completely unlistenable to me lol

I think the over-exposure of certain pop songs causes me to recoil quite abruptly. In fact I dislike how singles in general can detract from the evenness of album experiences. So, a) it's a good thing I don't listen to much pop and b) I never purposefully expose myself to singles for upcoming releases I'm anticipating

My only problem with I Really Like You is the fact it was the lead single. Felt very clear that her team was aiming for another hit in the vein of Call Me Maybe and I think it turned a lot of people off from the album before it even came out.

I didn't like Call Me Maybe much when it was at the height of its popularity, but I've come to appreciate it a lot in the years since. Honestly, the Kiss album in general was much more of a stylistic precursor to Emotion than many people would like to admit

yeah the style is there i agree. i think "this kiss" sounds very much like it could be in this album, although the vibe would be weird

Maybe I could afford to listen to Kiss again - I can admit it's been YEARS since I gave it a shot. Probably haven't heard it since around high school lol

it's much more juvenile, and the compositions noticeably tinnier, but catchy nevertheless
