Yeah when that 2nd riff kicks in Ghosts of the Midwinter Fires, it hits so hard.
The tortured screams of John in Black Lake feel so genuine and fit perfectly. Such an amazing record, perfect for autumn/winter jamz

I couldn't believe it when I found out that was John on that part. I thought for sure it was a guest vocalist. What a great record. That trem riff on Ghosts.. "there are no gods heeeerrrreeeee..." is top notch.

Mix still sucks on this but it still rules overall.

Eh, I don't mind it. It was a big shift from Ashes that's for sure. When some of the distorted guitars are soloed and isolated from the mix they sound muddy, weak, and lack punch, but that's my biggest complaint. The analog recording gives it a unique sound for better or worse.

It's mostly the drums that bug me, they are 10x louder than everything else.
