One of those bands/albums I know I desperately need to hear but that it feels weird to have to “get into” them now since I already know their sound and their biggest songs as they’re so ingrained in the culture.

Totally worth your energy though. But comments like these only make it more of a thing to finally try it haha. Sorry!

I’m not making it a big deal really, the point more is that on some level I feel like I already know them a an artist and don’t really feel like I do “need” to get into them.

Like, is it even possible to form a real “personal” connection to a band like this, especially as someone with already well developed taste?

You can get into any artist at any time if you give them a shot

^I feel like I'm pointing out the obvious, but with a statement like Boney's apparently not

I think you can form a “personal” connection with a band because they should be thought as more than their commercial singles. More often than not, it’s those “deep cuts” on an album that get you into the album and the band.

Hot take:

Talking Heads are not only one of Radiohead's biggest influences and therefore an obvious band to check as a Radiohead fanatic such as yourself Boney, but they're also better than Radiohead despite their weak final 2 albums

Another hot take: I never knew about their “Little Creatures” and “Naked” albums, even though I’ve listened to their first five. Whaaaaaaaaa????

This is better than Kid A and Kid isn't even Radiohead best
