"I like it because it makes me cry and it reminds me of my childhood."

I mean fair enough lol, I have childhood Hail to the Thief nostalgia.

you having that fear would imply he has good taste but a look at his profile yielded a very disappointing lack of ratings and worse yet an anime profile picture

"Radiohead in general is better as a 2000's band than as a 90's band honestly"

It's not really fair on the 90s that it gets Pablo bringing the average right down I guess + there's only 3 LPs total. I'd sacrifice OKC to keep Kid A / Amnesiac and I'd happily dump The Bends, so if it was a 3 vs 3 situation then I'd pick the 00s and add In Rainbows, easy. If that's not allowed I'll take a lucky dip and if I get lumbered with HTTF instead then so be it.

I still can't help but think there's something slightly embarrassing about Life in a Glasshouse, even if I've come to enjoy it (mostly because of Thom's emotional wailing at the end of the track), there's just something about it that feels a bit under-baked in a sense ....

Honestly though, probably still one of their better closers. I don't find a lot of their closers that compelling.

Enjoyed this more today than I ever remember before. May bump. Love the somberness lurking throughout.

What do you guys think of "If You Say the Word"?

It's not bad imo, but I get why it was an outtake... kinda lackluster

Ed O'Brien kept a journal during the Kid A/Amnesiac sessions and he wrote about how they never quite figured out how to make it work. There's some cool instrumentation but it feels more like a jam session than a song to me.

Kinetic is good and I love Worrywort. If those were on here instead of Pulk/Revolving Doors, Hunting Bears, and Morning Bell/Amnesiac, and Spinning Plates was the live piano version, it might be 5/5.

Yeah that's a good one too. If You Say the Word is alright, around the same level as the other Amnesiac b-sides.
