Yeah I’m not huge on releasing closers as singles either, but I fucking love this song (Pneumonia). Thought Damn Excuses was pretty good, but I’m gonna hold off on listening to Hallelujah or any other possible singles. I hate his bands release half the album in advance nowadays, dilutes the hype/excitement if I feel like I’ve already heard half the album. That’s why I tend to only listen to the first single, then just wait for the album.

Some Casting Such a Thin Shadow vibes to it but I'm not trying to over-listen to any of the 3 tracks because I don't want the album to feel stale by the time it's out. Probably not going to listen to it again 'til January.

Aight so.... a 7 minute closer where even the explosive climax doesn't really evoke any strong feelings nor does the song feel like it goes anywhere interesting. And they release it as a single.

On top of that the other 2 singles haven't really been anything worth writing home about either.

Yeah...this album is about to be a hot pack of ass.

curiosity got me to cave. end of that song is pretty sick and there were def cool instrumental passages throughout but they didnt need to make that 7 minutes. we'll see what context does to it i guess

In all honesty that was the best song of the 3, still pretty boring but the ending was cool. Spencer's vocals just aren't what they used to be tho :[

Holy shit I finally just listened to Pneumonia. What a fucking song. Dude above really said the climax evokes no feelings or anything? Lmao. That song was the most powerful thing I’ve heard from this band since I was in high school and I’m officially excited for this album now. Give me more of this sludgy post-metal UO.
