well that's kind of strange since i always felt like Ghost Reveries and Watershed were more accesible than this one.

A masterpiece. The Beethoven's 9th of metal. Right on par with Metallica's Master of Puppets, anyway. I've never heard anything quite as utterly musical as this album, and I don't think I ever will. Although Ghost Reveries (another Opeth album if you don't know) comes close to its brilliance, but doesn't quite hold the same atmosphere for the whole proceedings. Phenomenal.
