This remains the weakest of their metal era imo. My Opeth opinions have changed over time (some significantly) but that’s actually remained steadfast. Can we repeat this riff some more? Yes. I mean, they do this, yet time they forgot & asked the question again.

idk, the t/t and A Fair Judgement are some of the songs that cemented my fandom of the band, still remain among my favorites in their entire discography, and not just for sentimental reasons. i don't get what's so wrong with this release, may not be their best, but it's damn far from their worst too
