This album hasn't left my regular rotation ever since it came out. This is fucking sublime.

same. so exciting that I got to experience it in real time too, I feel like most albums I hype up are letdowns. I remember when only the singles were out and it was basically just me and a few others here talking about them. and then boom, it fucking explodes. grew on me to the max.

Honestly I think this will go down as a hard 5 for me in time. Bands like these guys and Oxbow are going to be pivotal to the modern/upcoming no-wave era, of that I'm sure

Didn't feel like what people hyped it up to be, but still enjoyable. Def gonna listen again to see if it grows on me.

I don't really know a lot about hard rock/noise rock/metal/whatever this is, but Long Road No Turns came up on shuffle the other day and I was blown away by the instrumentation and the sense of tension it conveyed

Colton: this is noise/industrial rock
and yeah this awesome, although it did take me some time to fully enjoy

Idk it didn't really convey the same sense of atmosphere/tension/whatever to me as people say it did. Maybe I've been listening to so much darker music and other Daughters in general lately that this just came off as a longer, more repetitive version of their last album.
I should come back to this at a later point.

Dammit, I was hoping this would be the album that gets me into metal. I'll listen to the rest soon though
And as a sidenote, I changed my custom user title to Colton thinking it would show up on my reviews but it didn't work, how lame is that

@Eclipse if you enjoy this album I think you would appreciate An Evil Heat. It's a bit less accessible due to the ecclectic nature of the record, but fuck if it isn't rewarding. Front man is a GIANT black dude who sounds like he records himself while having schizophrenic episodes. Musically it finds several interesting footholds, but it remains elusive to pigeonholing. There's elements of noise rock, stoner and doom metal, drone, jazz, hxc, punk.. just a slow burning, avant-garde, auditory feast. If the idea of everything I said plus a more clear cut conceptual take sounds more appealing, check The Narcotic Story. Both are hard 5s imo. Sorry for gushing but I've been obsessed with both for awhile lol
