This thread in 4 years will be the exact same as it is now. This album isn't as challenging as Kid A or KOL where the vocal opinion of users will have a massive shift after initial release because of what is needed to be digested by listeners in the long run.

In 4 years the band will be no more. This retrospectively will be seen as one of the best, a document where the band had reached the boundaries of what they had set out with Kid A.

I think this would be a perfect way for Radiohead to end their career, honestly.

I was thinking the same thing. Even if I dislike the song, thematically True Love Waits is a perfect closer.

Indeed this might actually be the best time for Radiohead to call it quits. They now have exactly 100 studio album tracks, you see them looking back to their past/roots with several of these songs since they were reconfigured, closing with True Love Waits was a long-awaited gift for the big fans, they can still make amazing stuff but they've lost much of the vitality of their early career, clearly studio recording is not a priority for any of them...

They've already given the world more than anyone could ask for.

If they bowed out of studio recording today and became a live-only act, I'd be perfectly happy.

True Love Waits is honestly a perfect song. One of the greatest they ever recorded.

I don't want them to call it quits. Why would I want that. This album just shows that they've still got it.

Thom thought people didn't care anymore and was surprised by the massive positive reaction this got. So, no. Don't quit.
