Really dig the 80s vibe on Seventh Star. At least it's better than Digger's Stronger Than Ever

The more i listen to their first 6 records the more i realize that there won't be another run like this in rock music. Like, ever. The style, the influence, the quality, the ideas, i mean, these albums have it all. Thank god these guys existed and influenced a ton of other people to pick up the guitars and continue where they left off.

Amen.

I woke up with Lord of This World on the mind, and it was obvious how 100s of musicians built their career from that verse riff.

Exactly man. Just think about the tons of great music we had just because some random guys picked up a guitar to learn how to play Iron Man and Sweet Leaf.

And the rest is history...

"Nah Beatles are definitely more influential"

dunno man, i mean, how many bands and artists have you actually heard of mentioning the Beatles ? i've heard a few saying that but i've heard more people talking about sabbath's influence

just the way music is made owes a huge debt to the beatles. i mean the whole idea of album oriented rock is because of them

not saying sabbath isn't hugely influential but the beatles shaped rock music in ways that no one else ever has. from the ways it's written and arranged to the ways it's packaged and presented, the beatles basically set the template for everyone after them.
