The harmonized riff section during the "father you are the dead god in me" part is probably top 3 IF section for me

Dead God In Me is great but best closer has to be Man Made God.

Even if it was the closer I'd also put another day in quicksand over it. Also my favorite song on clayman

@Kusangii I know but it does still close the album on that version. It's the closer in my eyes I guess, even though it isn't.
@Eakflanderyof Another Day In Quicksand is an easy second favourite closer for me. The solo is incredible.

another shame in in flames' downfall is that they really did have some of the most consistently brilliant solos in metal during their 90s era, whether it be the main band members or their session additions

They're both from Subterraneans extended release, it's just that Dead god in me is named The inborn lifeless

Where do all you fucks land on the “this vs Slaughter of the Soul” debate, there’s only one correct answer

SOTS easily.

This easily. I prefer Red in the Sky way more than SOTS. But if we would include DT (which we should since they're all considered "the big 3") then it's The Gallery for sure.

nah hawks got it but nice try
tbh I actually miiiiiight agree with that Gallery take. I’ve been jamming Slaughter of the Soul hard yesterday and today but I might throw this and Gallery on just to see how they compare. I haven’t really listened to a ton of melodeath the last few years, memory’s hazy.
