Title track is a whole new beast in context.

I like the song by itself, but it shouldnt have closed this out.

I am surrounded by a body of water with no access to this album.

Sad day.

"I like the song by itself, but it shouldnt have closed this out."

I feel the exact opposite. The song on its own is unremarkable but it's the perfect closer for this album 👌

I love that song, don't get the indifference tbh. Easily the best chorus on the album.

Somehow I like deftones despite the singer being objectively horrible. There's a charm to his inability to hit notes kinda like DLR

"the kids today won’t care and have context of how digital bath changed the game"

I first listened to WP about 17 years after it came out and I can comfortably proclaim how much better that song is than everything on here (or anything they've released since tbh). Its not just nostalgia

Is this copypasta lol

EDIT: I thought you were saying he couldn't hit notes like DLR, ergo he was bad

I believe people will come to appreciate this album even more in the future, instead of the predicted downgrade in ratings. This because the weakest songs on here aren't really weak but just huge growers.

Genesis for example.

Once The Spell of Mathematics hit, the entire album took off. It had that perfect balance of heaviness and atmosphere.

The beginning is solid too, but I think Urantia could’ve been so much better if it was more consistently heavy. That riff though.

Ohms is the perfect closer. It summarizes the journey. “Debris of our past.” “Time won’t change this.” “This is our time.”

Great album and great job Deftones!

Ohms got so much better after hearing how Headless aegues into it. Really did not care for it in the slightest prior to release and now I think it's an excellent song.
