Unless they're purposefully releasing the most "different" songs from the album to throw people off. Not sure what their goal would be in doing that tho

I don't have a problem with the production on the song. Sounds fine to me, it's just not that interesting of a song.

Do radio stations still bring in money, or is that just a meme? I legit haven't turned on a radio easily 5-10 years at this point.

I don't remember the last time I went more than like a day without listening to the radio

I'm assuming you all heard the new song via this link? When I first heard it, I legit thought that radio soundbite at the very beginning was part of the song and Spencer was doing some spoken word intro lol

The wonderfully crisp production on Casting Such A Thin Shadow is like candy to me. What a fucking song.

That song live is incredible, or at least it was in 2006

This post-grunge butt rock revival is the worst thing to happen to this music scene in the last ten years, and that includes crabcore ffs. That awful out of key “major chord where a minor chord should be” chord progrssion is so gross. Sounds like radio rock circa 2000. Plus Spencer just needs to stick to screaming, Aaron is a way better singer. On my teeth was barely passable, Rapture is trash. It sounds like a leftover from that shitty side-protect Spencer did that nobody listened to.

spencer's a fine singer, the vocals aren't the problem. The song structures are boring, it's instrumentally simplistic and it's all mixed terribly
