Fuck, I haven't touched this album in almost a year. I forgot how much I loved this album. Absolutely legendary opener.

Was this really The Shape of Punk to Come? I need some context here before I devote a handful of minutes to this record.

It's really high on my too-listen list already. I was just wondering how futuristic this baby really is. How many bleeps, bloops, etc.

due to the production it's aged well, very modern sounding. the actual bleeps and bloops don't have an overbearing presence on the actual songs, a lot of the time the electronic stuff on here serves more as interludes than anything (except for stuff like the New Noise bridge buildup)

Sounds like a great spin. I'll throw it on the digital turntable in a jiffy

Was this really The Shape of Punk to Come?

it's just a reference to Ornette Coleman's The Shape Of Jazz To Come

It would be tragic if the title actually was serious, because everything on here has been done before (and better)

^true, but it wasn't so popular until this album happened. the album title is,as far as i'm concerned, true enough. however, whether or not that is a good thing (at all!), is an entirely different issue.

the statements this album makes are obvious and clichéd but i'll be fucked if they aren't expressed in a perfect fashion
