yeah a big part of the atmosphere def comes from the repetition. i havent heard this in forever but gotta relisten, i forgot how good this album is

Swans got a documentary out called Where Does a Body End for any interested. Decent flick bout the band even if the later half feels like a clip show.

The title track is so fucking heavy! It's interesting because shows how a song can be extreme without being related to any form of metal/hardcore.

Just revisited this last night with some headphones, I can't believe how every sound comes together on this to make such a monster of an album! Mother of the World is still the best thing ever after all these years.
