Amnesiac is alright, but there really isn't a memorable and stand out track
Were you custom built to piss me off?

Haha I might have been. We'll see. What's so good about Amnesiac then Pleb?

I only really have listened/gotten into. OK computer, In Rainbows and Kid A. Kinda got a little into Hail to the Thief but its nothing special.

Mainly cos the atmosphere is so bleak and I love the subtle songwriting.
I dig Kid A hard and its like Kid A's darker brother.

I agree about being Kid A's darker brother, but even the best songs on Amnesiac don't reach the high points compared to their other stuff

The theme is self evident Choccy. The "eagle" is yet another metaphor for one who dwells and lives higher than others. Like wealthy or powerful people. Predator and prey. An eagle or hawk is an apex predator, yet they have no power on the ground, away from "limbs" where they perch. Notice how deftly a squirrel moves in the trees, yet on the street they are feeble and end as roadkill. And so it is. Read the lyrics of "Separator". "The sweetest flowers and fruits were hanging from the trees
falling off a giant bird that's been carrying me
it's like i've fallen out of bed from a long and vivid dream." And " Lotus Flower." "The bird that's flown into my room
Slowly we unfold
As lotus flowers
Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
I dance around the pit
The darkness is beneath.'

The album is kinda like one big song tht flows pretty seamlessly, just an opinion of curz but like urz.

I can see that, amnesiac does flow really well

I like your analysis of it Grift and I'll definitely bear that in mind next time I listen to this but I'm pretty sure if radiohead wanted their listener to think that they would have made it more obvious on the album art. Or at least said it in an interview as they have with pretty much all their other albums like Hail To The Thief

Yes, the album art is a "rope-a dope". Misdirection for the misdirected. I friggin love this album to pieces. Although there are ominous trees and ghastly limbs in the back round. Its there if you want to see it, most do not. Checkmate!

Finally gave this a chance, very solid for Radiohead. I don't really understand all the controversy and why this polarizes everyone, about on par with Amnesiac for me
|

I like this band.
Sit back/put their 100 or so songs on random
chill

I agree with this being on par with Amnesiac talons. I think this is more focussed (which isn't necessarily a good thing) but Lotus Flower and Feral are awesome

Album Rating: 4.0
Yeah this definitely feels focused, probably because it's their shortest. and yeah those are probably the best songs, codex too

"Feral" is okay, but I will agree that "Lotus Flower" is amazing.
Also "Little by Little" and "Separator" guys.

if this album ended after codex it would be an awesome ep

But then it wouldn't have Separator. So it wouldn't be as good...
