Pheromone is that dude at a party that randomly brings up "did you know the director is a republican?" when talking about a movie. Leave dude.

Zoof re The Bends alt rock timeline…
best in the 90s
most culturally relevant album from the 90s
most culturally relevant U.K. album from the 90s
best album from the 90s but only DURING the the 90s
(…in the U.K. of course)
best album before the internet took off
best album before the internet was ‘widespread’ in the U.K. which didn’t happen in the 90s…
Then…
oh but that was just big businesses / email, certainly wasn’t commonplace enough in 97-99 😂

Again. Why is everything taken so bloody literally without any degree of nuance or subtlety allowed or catered for? Oh yeah everyone’s gone full 🇺🇸 since the internet as well.

For the record if we're exclusively looking at rock albums that were massive in the UK in the 90s I'd still prob take Different Class over the Bends

'best in the 90s
most culturally relevant album from the 90s
most culturally relevant U.K. album from the 90s
best album from the 90s but only DURING the the 90s'
'The Bends' doesn't even make my top 30 albums of the '90s tbh because I've listened to a lot of music you know?
Just an album that I liked a lot since I was 16 years old and I get enough edgy rating points elsewhere so I let her be, it's The Bends, it's a somewhat dated classic
