cant speak for cosmic but for me a big part of the reason 10 000 is my fav tool album is that its the one that truly made me "get" them. i had heard their other stuff and just never really cared (especially for undertow) until i bonded with 10 000 days ironically enough listening to it on ketamine all the time, and once i developed a sentimentality around that album thats when lateralus and aenima clicked.
