"i loved Dallas Taylor tho idk what to say"
think thats ultimately my issue w that era is that i cant stand how he sounds on anything underoath. huge barrier that prevents me from enjoying any of their pre spencer material. maylene rules tho

Only complaint i have with the production is the mastering. But then again, when has Underoath ever excelled in that department? Define the Great Line is mastered terribly, everything's a DR4 or less except Salmarnir.

@Kenbo: http://prntscr.com/s8u8gb - Define the Great Line mastering. http://prntscr.com/s8u8vs - Erase Me mastering. At least the latter has SOME breathing room, neither of which are particularly spectacular but whatever.

You want real good mastering in a modern record? Check The Stage by A7X.

The Canyon sounds great. It's raw, it actually has dynamics instead of being squashed like a bug by Chris Lord-Alge or whoever else is trying to be the next Rick Rubin.

All I'm sayin' is there's far more breathing room on those records. They didnt just brickwall the shit out of it.
And for those interested I made the bane of y'alls existence. Since yall think anything that's written like this is inherently terrible...here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjm84sdmbp7cnvo/The%20Bane%20of%20Sputnik%27s%20Existence.wav?dl=0
