this is a brilliant review. finally getting into this, so good. the storytelling on the art of peer pressure especially is absolutely spot on.

Yeah, I listened to it once ages ago, and dismissed it as something I didn't really get. After seeing it get repeatedly hyped up though, I figured it's something I should revisisit. And damn, it really is worth all the praise it gets.

Yeah first half is pretty much perect. Wish they had ditched Real though, kinda brings the album down.

Backseat freestyle

Swimming pools

Poetic justice

Real

Compton

Money trees

Are all super corny. I've heard the topics and sounds of all of those songs multiple times before hearing this album. This is

nothin but a well done carbon copy. Kendrick is talented but interscope enslaved him and ya should be ashamed of

yourselves for promoting this type of pretentious crap.

I love it the beat is banging, and Dre's appearance at the very end of the record gives me chills

Fits the story in my opinion, it's a celebration of his city, despite all the bad things associated with it it's still his home and he still takes pride in that.

it just doesn't fit with the flow of the album for me, I would've ended it with real.

the problem is that the beat is TOO banging compared with the more subdued beats of the rest of the record.

i hear people complain about how it doesnt 'flow' well, and if that has to do with order of tracks/unnecessary tracks then id like to hear how it should be arranged

I still like the storytelling in "Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst"..

Album is still excellent, but god why include Real and Compton -.-.. These 2 songs do nothing for me
