I got lost in a lot of anger at seeing this ahead of my one of my favorite albums nas n damian marley. kinda forgot the purpose of the site and rating system. this is a good pop album ill give you that, the best part of your comment was distinguishing this from hip hop which has entirely different goals... based on that criteria this albums rating makes a lot more sense to me but Distant Relatives is still way underrated for this year!

2nd one, although i have no idea why i would have just typed "Drake" and left it there. pay me no
mind
that said i think i might disagree with the idea that there's a conversation here. it seems more
like a monologue. or a dialogue in which it's kanye west, and then a bunch of people who are all
like "he's kanye west!!!" after everything he does. i guess i find that drake presents a more
interesting alternative to this, although maybe that's because of the unanimous praise with which
kanye has been showered by everyone (read: everyone) i know has begun to irk ol' contrarian me,
whereas people keep pushing back against drake and i often find myself The Official Drake
Defender
ill take "marvins room," "look what you've done," "the resistance" over everything here (different
purposes, yah) though

@planewreck yeah and thanks for answering my question instead of callin me a troll for askin why this album is so high. if you listen to Distant Relatives you should probably look up the lyrics cus Damian Marley, who is by far better than nas on here, is hard to understand but his lyrics are really impressive. I never liked the album much at all before I read the lyrics now its one of my favorite all time albums
