"Well compared to apostrophe :p. "

I agree that Animals is better than Apostrophe, but Apostrophe isn't Zappa's best... I just have 8 albums 5'd by him...

@ALA: Wanna hear a rock opera that destroys The Wall? Check Joe's Garage, it's a triple album that's anti censorship and halarious

"Stop trying to take away credit from the OTHER MOTHERS OF INVENTION!"

They worked FOR him honestly, not with him...

Biblical prog interpretation with lots of weird samples and interludes and Vangelis on it that Ars happened to dislike

But it's not a popular choice so I'm used to people not liking it lol

The guy up there was arguing depression, now you're arguing schizophrenia and depersonalization?

How about the themes of war, education, childhood, the police state? There's no way this album is about the individual. It's about the individual in a turbulent land.

Well, he never knew his father and had a pretty rough childhood. He was always a man of the darker side. His music relfects that. Remember also that PF were not in their finest hour at the time.

Well I certainly prefer to see the thread filled with interpretations of the album's lyrics rather than the classic "this is overrated/this is underappreciated" debate
