What is the AC/DC rip off? I don't really hear that in any of their tunes. I hear a lot more of the Metallica, GNR sort of stuff but not AC/DC?

ACDC in Hail to the King? What song from ACDC? I'm curious

Been jamming their Hellfest setlist, very nice discovery, don't know why I slept on that band to be honest!

The title track reminds me of thunderstruck

Idk im not huge on ACDC but most of the other tracks it’s pretty easy to tell who they’re ripping off. There’s a fine line between paying homage and ripping off and they crossed it big time imo. Got no idea what they were thinking with that record

This was such a pleasant surprise when it released and it remains one of my favorite metal albums of the 2020s.

Straight up my favorite recent metal album.

I’m as amazed as anyone else by that statement btw. I for sure have a lot of bias towards these guys but I cannot believe they dropped something like this so late in their career

I like the stage a lot, but I hope they continue to do weird shit. If suits them much better than something like the self titled or HttK imo

Although I can hear similarities between Hail To The King and Thunderstorm, I find it hard to call it a rip off. The only similar sound is rather a technique, tapping.

I find the second half of Buried Alive a bigger rip off Metallica though.

I like that song a lot more so I’ll fully admit that I’m slobbing some A7X knob by calling it a “homage”

yall can hate it as much as you want, but there is so much Guns N Roses influence across A7X's discog.

For some reason it’s cooler to like Motley Crue than it is the like GnR even though GnR is much better.

The GNR hate needs to end, band was absolutely elite. And yes Alex particularly their 00s material but even this release has it present imo.

I just don’t fuck with axl rose’s voice. City of Evil is straight GnR worship tho

I did a quick listen to their first two LPs, I hear a huge In Flames influence mixed with so Metalcore.

City Of Evil was basically Axl Rose fronting an 80's metal band. Which is likely why it's their best and one of my favourites of all time.
