Never understood the appeal of any of it. Twitch, streaming, vtubers, all of it. What baffles me even more is the amount of money people will throw at complete strangers for something as ridiculous as a shoutout that everyone will forget about in 5 minutes anyways.
I'm 26 and literally can't understand the world anymore lol I already feel like a bitter old boomer but seriously, nothing that's considered cool and popular these days makes sense to me in the slightest.

Nah, this shit sucks, but in a really boring, uninteresting way.
In regards to streaming, fucking saaaame. Some of my friends run a YouTube channel and stream sometimes to supplement it. I feel like an asshole for not tuning in but I just don't wanna bother. It feels like such a waste of time. I don't even like streaming myself, having done it a few times. I can't fathom trying to do that as a full-time job. I think it's because people tend to really enjoy parasocial relationships with internet celebrities/hot girls and/or use that as a vehicle to hang out with their friends but I'd just rather do that in a more direct way like playing a game with someone or seeing them irl.
