am almost certainly overrating this one, was huge on release but has lost some of its impact over time where the two before have only gotten better. one of their least profound albums (relatively!) and most contingent on (relatively) cheap thrills. all of this one's long-term appeal and most of its lyrical substance is handled far more compellingly on pale horses, q hard not to see this as the blockbuster redux for basic rock fans in many senses

I don't like the dynamic range of the production on here, that's my only real complaint- mostly in regards to vocals being mixed so low when it's quiet, like parts of New Wine.
