I don't know why you're making such a big deal about whether it sounds like Sleepwave or BMTH

lol because it doesn't even sound like BMTH at all and implying that they are shamelessly ripping off another band to increase their popularity is pretty disrespectful.

And you're lying to yourself if you don't think this sounds like 2013-now era BMTH lmao

On My Teeth sounds like a continuation of the last song they ever released - Sunburnt. Again, long before current era BMTH ever existed. If anything, Sempi took a lot of cues from Underoath's last couple of albums. BMTH wasn't the first band to ever add some atmospheric tones to metalcore lmao.

As far as that's the spirit goes, neither of the new songs sounds like anything off of it.

Sunburnt sounds like a Disambiguation track lmao, doesn't sound at all like On My Teeth. Doesn't sound like Semp either

"Disambiguation (their heaviest album?)"

Sorry to be that guy, but all three Dallas Taylor albums are a lot heavier.

Yeah act of depression kind of sucks. But I actually really like cries of the past and the changing of times.

are they really heavier though? i mean sure they're more black and death metal, but the discordance and sludginess of Disambiguation feels heavier to me.

disambiguation's sludge/low end makes it seem heavier to me

What? The dallas albums are undeniably heavier. How can this even be argued? I simply didn't even mention it because as far as I'm concerned that's basically two different bands, and stating an obvious fact of the Dallas era albums being heavier is irrelevant and moot anyways.

More screaming doesn’t mean it’s heavier.

They all had their level of cheese that Disambiguation didn't really reach

Well, it's not irrelevant to the new convo which is "which UO album is heaviest" in which case i still elect Disambiguation because of its slower, sludgy sound.

I think you guys need to back and listen to Act of Depression and Cries of the Past because you apparently think it sounds like chasing safety but with more screaming. It doesn't.

"I think disambiguation is their heaviest because it's slower" .. what?

I'm not even actually sure I agree that it's the hardest Spencer era album. I think that goes to lost in the sound of separation.

Interesting that you're surprised people think the slow, low-end stuff can be very heavy. Right now people are just debating what they think is "heaviest", which is 100% subjective. i.e. I think Reversal is one of their heaviest songs and I'm sure a lot would disagree lol
