At first Graceless was my favorite. Then it was Pink Rabbits. But now years later its Humiliation. Those other two are still tied for 2nd best songs on album tho.

2nd half of Heavenfaced is the first time I can say that I dislike a National song, from Alligator onwards anyway. I hate it. Also love I Need My Girl.

Same for me! Loved Fake Empire but couldn't get into their other stuff and then I picked up High Violet on a total whim from Best Buy the week it came out and it floored me

i really dont know how the hell i once thought this was less than a 5, it's just as good as the other big 3 and is clicking for me a 2nd time on an even deeper level

definitely. they're so damn consistent and always so classy. they're making a new album btw. at least, on their FB they posted a pic of a recording mic in a studio and then another one of a bunch of pedals and tangled cords n shit haha

I used to think that and I still think Heavenfaced is their weakest song in their past 4 albums but even that has grown on me a bit
