People have a hard time understanding album themes and motifs in music. I suppose it is the result of a diminished attention span. It is frustrating to producers of art, knowing the consumers will likely miss the point. What or whom is the "King of Limbs?" An eagle, a bird of prey. "Limbs" being tree limbs. Listen with this knowledge and the album can be appreciated. A day in the life of an eagle. I should not have to spoon feed meaning to jerks, it makes me angry!
