It would be pretty sweet to see an album with a 5 average haha. Only if it was deserving of course. :]

I just listened to this for the third or fourth time today and I still don't understand how this has more love than their later stuff

No denying its power tho

Agreed. This is really good, but the ToG - GttR stretch is their peak

This is just bizarrely innovative to me. There isn't an album of there's I don't like, but the way this fits together, and the way it's pretty much the heaviest fucking album I've heard, yet it also has a punk edge and just how it all fits when it really shouldn't, and I don't know how to describe it.

Yeah, I'll admit it's got a certain je ne sais quoi that their other albums lack, like it FEELS as if it's their magnum opus. Unfortunately, for some reason I still find their next few albums more musically interesting

I'm the opposite. As much as I love all of their later albums, especially Storm, this trumps all of them for me. This is the first neurosis album that blew my mind and made me stop everything just to listen

Everything these guys have done is genius though. This one (and a few others) are just more genius than the rest. m/
