2021 not dropping pace on 2020s bullshit as Dre is hospitalised with a brain aneurysm...

Found Compton pretty underwhelming so I jammed this for the first time in a while, still holds up.

Forget about Dre is like Eminem’s greatest guest verse, and what’s the difference is his lamest one

Who else thinks this is > The Chronic? I love The Chronic man, but 2001 feels more developed and full — like he took the sound on The Chronic and made it bigger and more expansive.

Need to check Compton ASAP. Never got to it for some reason. It’s release kindof bypassed me at the time.

i don’t blame anyone putting 2001 over chronic but i have to go with the former. but 2001 kinda transcends the date it came out whereas chronic is firmly 92. there are understandable reasons for both being the best and i used to always switch back and forth

Its so damn close between them. I'd prob take The Chronic by a hair but they're both borderline 5's for me.

2001 > The chronic. Came out when I was in high school so it’s pretty damn nostalgic for me.

Listened to this again recently. Still holds up. I miss Nate Dogg. I never got into his own albums, but I think he added a lot whenever he was featured on something
