Who else thinks this is > The Chronic? I love The Chronic man, but 2001 feels more developed and full — like he took the sound on The Chronic and made it bigger and more expansive.
Need to check Compton ASAP. Never got to it for some reason. It’s release kindof bypassed me at the time.

i don’t blame anyone putting 2001 over chronic but i have to go with the former. but 2001 kinda transcends the date it came out whereas chronic is firmly 92. there are understandable reasons for both being the best and i used to always switch back and forth
