Libertina and Pentagram are the main saving graces of the album and keep it from being their absolute worst.

Okay I guess Darkly is worse, this at least has peaks and valleys despite being dreadfully misguided, Darkly is just a big blur of boring.

They're both gothic metal with thrashy guitars to me. I guess there's a tiny bit of bm mixed in there somewhere. They were clearly trying to get away from that and reinvent themselves on those albums though.
