Unrelated to everything but Micro Cuts is one of the most unique hard rock/metal songs I've ever heard vocally, Muse or otherwise; the lyrics are downright bizarre in the coolest way.
The live version on Hullaballoo takes it up a notch, his voice was absolutely mind-blowing in that era.
On the topic of Absolution being their best- I remember being disappointed when Time Is Running Out dropped as the first single, wasn't a fan of the chorus at all, and that feeling carried over when the record came out. Apocalypse Please, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Sing For Absolution, Ruled By Secrecy, Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist, Falling Away With You, Fury, Endlessly, Blackout....none of these tracks do anything for me.
OOS has no skips, even Feeling Good.

however not a huge fan of Be With You personally, just kinda kills the momentum. maybe if it was somewhere else in the tracklist but between cryogen and hexagons makes zero sense

agree, one of my few qualms with this album. I like that placement of BWY between those two, imagine if they stretched out that last sustain on BWY and used it to lead into the first note of Nightshift Superstar, would've flowed well
