Album Rating: 5.0
I noticed this band getting media attention again and decided to go back and re-listen to this record to see how the tunes have aged for me over the past year. Started with Au Pays du Cocaine remembering it was good and probably my original favorite, and came away deciding it's a transcendent piece of rock music.
Then I thought I'd play another song off the record like Taxes or Cobra or Husbands and that would help put into perspective how "Au Pays" is just a uniquely great standout and the rest is just like fine fun good whatever, but instead landed at "yep nope this is a genuinely great rock album, maybe the first classic of its time."
Wish I had something more fun and hater-y to report lol.
