Yeah, this one is a lot to take in for sure.

Production here is utterly massive. A lot more 'metal' sounding than earlier records but it still retains the organic nature. How melodic, and even relatively accessible this is, is also interesting.

That Vile Luxury Redux really might be a 5. I always liked Alphaville most but that redux is fucking masterful. I’ve even started to come around on Spirit despite it being a disappointment when it first dropped imo… still haven’t really come around on their early work but I also haven’t listened to either much.

Literally have only jammed Abyssal Gods and the debut once a piece so I guess they’re due for a few listens a piece. The Inceste EP is solid as fuck too. Just such an insanely good band. I feel very privileged to have been able to see them considering I feel like they don’t hit the Midwest much. Set was almost entirely Alphaville and Vile Luxury… and Pyrrhon was killer too

damn, an Alpha / Vile heavy set AND Pyrrhon. Think I would've nutted. Nice!

And yeah the Vile redux is my preferred version now also, as it really offered the album a new lease of life back when it dropped.

Yeah, I was really first getting into both bands so I guess I didn’t really realize how lucky I was with that timing. Me and all 30 people in the room

No wonder bands skip my shitty town. Two amazing bands can barely draw more than a couple dozen people

That's so weird lol wtf. I can't see how a BtBaM fan enjoys this or vice versa (except some of the nerds on sput)

Oh, I thought it was Imperial headlining. But it's a BtBaM headline with Imperial Triumphant, Fallujah, Thank you Scientist and The World is a Beautiful Place ..., scattered throughout the tour. That's a sick line up for sure. Those first few dates with Imperial and Fallujah are indeed whack though

hawks we won, but at what cost

Seeing Imperial Triumphant will be tight but idk if I wanna see them play 40 mins and probably pay 50 fucking dollars for one good band

Of course no PNW stops. Wouldn't mind seeing BTBAM play anything and everything up through the first Colors, but they'll probably play songs with like three synths and a pogo stick on a giant drum head instead.

They might play Alaska and something off the first Colors but that is about it

Yeah I’m just really not feeling it, especially off the back of Blue Nowhere. I really do not fuck with that album. Maybe if it were some kind of anniversary tour of like silent circus or Alaska or something I’d be down for it but this really is such an insane lineup.

I feel like your average Imperial Triumphant fan is probably not into BTBAM and probably vice versa. I don’t see someone that enjoys something like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C7OuY40_e8k&list=RDC7OuY40_e8k&start_radio=1

jamming out to Gotham Luxe or something. Fallujah makes sense to me, but I really don’t like that brand of super pristine sounding prog death.

I probably will be sitting this one out, which sucks considering they’re playing like 10 minutes from my house. I was literally at that venue on Friday lol
