Black Rainbow, Keep Sweet, Crystal Roses and Ride The Wave can all just not exist and it would be fine. I'm also still miffed that the closer doesn't hit as hard as I wanted. The rest I really like for the most part

ponder this, what if the closer isn’t meant to be a closer like how Constance worked out and is just another jam

cuz that’s more common than u think

Black Rainbow rules, my girl loves the dub moments and the bass on it

I don't understand the hate on Ride the Wave, it's a sweet song, could have been the last one actually.

And I cannot for the life of me listen to Perfect Soul without thinking about There She Goes. Sucks because it's a good song lol

Overall a better album than Eternal Blue after a few listens but the last EP is still the best thing they ever done

only jammed it once so not really an expert on why it didnt work for me yet but my first impression was that the instrumental worked against ride the waves melodies for me so it just kinda felt weird and stilted

and yeah i heard that in tsunami seas chorus a bit

Courtney did say they were inspired by Jimmy Eat World for Ride the Wave but I’m not familiar with that band to pick that up so it didn’t work for me

I don't trust anyone in here if they don't like Black Rainbow, that song rips so hard, especially the end. Same with Keep Sweet, that chorus is my favorite one here (aside from Perfect Soul, probably). Also Crystal Roses is just fine to me. Mike's riffing at the end with the hyperpop autotune rips.

“Crystal Roses is fucking AIDS in audio form” [2]

Y’all are completely missing the point. The music itself is fine. Even great in parts. It’s not the song per se that’s bad it’s the absolutely awful butchered unnecessary vocal effects

@ Relinquished cause those are the only 2 songs where Courtney does the robotic vocals

I’d be mega down for some dark rave box. That song was just a massive miss due to artistic choice in my (our) opinion
