yeah the difference is ridiculous. the focus on the s/t was solid songwriting, great riffs and clever atmospherics and he focussed on all the wrong things after that.
500 orchestra layers you can barely decipher are no substitute for a good riff.

At least it's better than Time I. Whatever it is his craft clearly doesn't meet his ambitions. Jari need to return back to standard folk/melodeath and leave the larger than life orchestral symphonics

and i agree with that razeen - it's just not his forté as much as he clearly wants it to be. frustrating cus there's a tonne of symphonic bands wiping the floor with this but jari's riffing style is very compelling and unique. obviously he can do whatever he pleases but eh.

i think this would have been good had it just been released in 2012 but in that time many other bands have done the exact same thing and exceeded it - it just sounds so dated and the context makes it even more ridiculous.
