I typically don’t need more than 3-5x to get anything as far as identifying my mileage with it. And I haven’t listened to it front to back as many times but select songs several times. Like the singles, wish/glimpse etc which is like over half the album lol

yea sometimes you do know right away but i like keeping the door open by virtue of how many first listen 3s have become 4.5s or 5s (see: r.e.m. - automatic for the people or the contortionist language which are two of the best albums ive ever heard but i didnt care about either really at first) and how many first listen 4.5-5s did not have the sauce overtime (see: nu school invent and deftones)
