Idk why that's so common now. Respect the bookends goddammit, they should never be singles.

Album is pretty solid but I'm not really sure what the weirdly amped levels of hype about it are. Doesn't sound anything anyone hasn't heard before. Pretty by-the-book tech death

ive noticed there’s been a recent trend of “bad band makes a comeback with semi decent music” and people overhype it.

the singles didn’t strike me as anything special tbh and I honestly don’t mind their mid aughts stuff as a pretty entertaining time capsule

It’s a GOOD album, there’s no denying. But it’s no Metropolis Pt. II 🤓

I think the first single being so good got everyone really hyped but the actual rest of the album is just decent.

Idk, I'm totally outside that. Heard a couple tracks from their debut when it first came out and didn't feel it was for me.

Came into this cold and generally don't care that much for tech/prog death (Archspire and Obscura are the only two exceptions I can think of) and I love this.

Best thing is the production, but that’s common these days

didn't jam singles, wasn't hyped for this. worked on an exam all day without being able to jam music and participated in the discourse here. now that i was able to catch one jam-through, i think this is really freakin fun.

I'm not even into most tech/prog death metal/core whatever stuff but this actually was tight

Vocalist is the only member that has been there since the beginning, they’re a whole new band

Yeup, instantly recognizable, has an insanely varied delivery while never sounding like he's trying to show off. Definitely one of the greats imo.

That solo at the end of Forever Rot... what a way to end the album.
